This course will introduce the traveler to the information they should know prior to traveling to the Far East.  It will utilize the Political / Military factors or PMESII-PT analytical model to analyze the target country looking for issues which will affect their travel whether it is for business or pleasure.  The PMESII-PT analytical factors represent the components of a specific country’s Political, Military, Economic, Social, Infrastructure, Informational, along with their Physical Environment & Time factors.  Briefing highlights will include current issues such as terrorist threats, criminal threats, and health threats.  Other highlights will cover significant holidays and social “dos and don’ts”.  This introduction presents the factor areas with recommendations to the traveler on how to begin conducting their country research for Far Eastern countries.
