Individuals traveling to the Middle East for work or to visit a Muslim country should expect to interact with host nation locals, and be aware of the basic practices and beliefs of Islam, the Muslim religion. Islam is not just a major religion practiced by 1.8 billion believers around the world but also the very basis of their daily practices, law, and value system.  This introduction will detail cultural sensitivity by discussing the Five Pillars of Islam, Islamic Divisions and history, holidays, daily ritual and practices conducted by most moderate Muslims and conduct comparisons in values and beliefs between Western Forces and their Muslim counterparts.
