This course is tailored for travelers visiting foreign countries with the specific intent of conducting negotiations with key personnel. This class in intended to prepare the traveler to work with their foreign counterparts. They should be aware of how to present themselves and conduct the most basic types of negotiations with cultures other than their own. This introduction will present the basic concepts of verbal, paralinguistic and nonverbal communications. It will also cover; basics of negotiations, introduction to cross-cultural communication and cultural comparisons, considerations when using an interpreter, KLE planning with considerations toward default mindset and positional power.
