Introduction to Key Leader Engagements (KLE)
This class is a continuation of “Introduction to KLE” and presents a list of considerations that travelers should consider prior to visiting foreign countries. These considerations will help prepare the traveler when working with their foreign counterparts. This class takes the techniques presented in the previous course and conducts a practical application with exercises showing how to present themselves and conduct the most basic types of negotiations with cultures other than their own. Other information provided includes: Cultural comparison between Western cultures and the Focus Country culture, communication through an interpreter, planning and conducting the KLE, cultural and other issues that may arise. This class will include suggestions for research to find critical factors concerning the focus culture that will assist in preparing for and conducting successful meetings and negotiations.
